Shiftly uses a white-labeled Chrome browser extension that wasn't originally built for their product. It's a third-party scraper tool repackaged under the Shiftly brand. They don't control the underlying technology, which means they can't fix or improve things on their own timeline. When something breaks — and with Facebook, things break constantly — their support has no way to actually solve the problem because they didn't build the tool.

Shiftly's backgrounds produce watercolor-style, painted-looking backdrops that look obviously artificial. You get minimal control over the output. Listings that look filtered don't stop the scroll — they get skipped.

Mobile Posting

Drift works from any phone browser. Select vehicles, queue them, and post to Marketplace from your phone. Need fresh photos or a walkaround video? Scan the QR code on any queued listing, shoot the content on your phone, and it syncs instantly to that listing.

Shiftly requires a desktop computer with Chrome and their extension installed. No desktop, no posting.

Listing Management: Automated vs. Manual Cleanup

Drift automatically syncs prices from your inventory to your live Facebook listings. When a vehicle sells, Drift removes it from Marketplace automatically. No manual work, no stale listings, no angry messages from buyers asking about cars you sold last week.

Shiftly displays a small badge next to sold vehicles in the extension. That's it. Your team has to manually go in and remove sold listings. Prices don't sync either — so if you drop the price on a unit, your Marketplace listing still shows the old number until someone remembers to fix it.
